1 with the coolest things about possessing bloggers on my team now is that they'll commence weighing in on JobsBlog every so often. This won't become a Moon Gals Part Deux quite yet ... think of it more as "Gretchen and pals." So enough along with the set-up... here's Jim. (By the way, Jim used to work at the place-that-must-not-be-mentioned.) - g ******************** Having a new job and new co-workers is always interesting. It’s a lot like meeting your in-laws for the first time. You tell yourself to remember to smile, dress neatly and laugh at all the jokes (funny or not). As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression, Office 2007 Product Key, so I always strive to watch my P’s and Q’s. After all, who wants a (d’oh!) Homer Simpson moment on the job? Well, Windows 7 Professional, about 15 minutes into my first Microsoft off-campus team-building outing we did two cool things. One we went out to eat at a posh restaurant and second, we jumped on a bus with beer and concessions and toured every vineyard we could find, sampling all the wine we could without embarrassing ourselves. Somehow I knew I was in the right place. A good time was had by all and even the non-drinkers managed to amuse themselves by taking lots of pictures for later blackmail use. (Uh oh, Office 2007 Activation Key!) I read an article recently about how our choice beverages reflect our inner character. For example, Red Wine means that one is mature in outlook, Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus, discerning and organized. Vodka (or white wine) samplers display an entrepreneurial spirit and Tequilla drinkers are free spirits who live for today. Gin lovers crave comfort and security whilst Lager (or bitter) meisters are experimental and creative. (Get more details here.) After reading the article I was sure that the group I was in was a combination of all with the above and more, a sort of Molotov cocktail of recruiting dynamite. Sometimes shaken, but never stirred… Its not quite often that you are able to work with so many talented people that you are able to bond with (almost instantly) on a personal and professional level. (Holding my lighter up in the air. You guys rock, Office 2007 Enterprise!) I am so very excited about the things we are planning and implementing to meet our goals. I am so very excited about the opportunity to do what has not been done before. (Oooh… Don’t you want to know what that is?) Expect great issues from us… Jim |
