It has a html5 app for downloading shortcuts to web apps.
A few native linux programs also availible for download, Like frozen bubble.
and last I checked, the linux core is still there,Office Home And Business 2010, along with the programs that you can get for linux.
I think there won't be that much of a cost, unless you factor in the work they did to keep the OS somewhat compatible for laptops and netbooks.
