Rama – Portland's Famous Painting Elephant « Recology
Last December the folks at Recology Portland visited the Oregon Zoo and came away with two paintings created by a very talented elephant named Rama. Rama is an Asian elephant who was *华* born on April 1, 1983 and has lived his entire life at the Oregon Zoo. He weighs in at about 9,000 lbs. He began painting as part of an enrichment program and has continued to paint regularly because it is 东方妇产医院 something he truly enjoys. He is trained to respond to word commands 郑州米兰整形 and is given many treats, such as ripe fruit, for positive reinforcement. There is no need to worry about the paint being harmful to Rama because it is nontoxic Tempura paint, which is egg-based. Please check out the pictures below of Rama painting.
