Junior League hosts annual Cinderella’s Closet April 14
The Junior League of Scranton will be holding its 8th annual Cinderella’s Closet April 14 at the Scranton Cultural Center bridesmaid dresses, 420 North Washington Avenue Strapless dresses, Scranton Prom Dresses 2011, from 4 to 9 p.m. The event helps all high school girls choose a prom dress and feel like the belle of the ball for under $10.
One of the organizers cheap grad dresses, Amy Paciej Woodruff Short prom dresses, said she is proud that the event “affords all girls a beautiful dress without the hardship and worry of a designer price tag.” She said she is excited “to be involved in making a possibly otherwise unaffordable dream come true for teen girls.”
Proceeds from Cinderella’s Closet contribute to the Junior League of Scranton’s Scholarship Fund. Katie Gilmartin stated that the fund is managed by the Scranton Area Foundation. The scholarship is presented to a young woman who exemplifies leadership qualities. League president Gilmartin said the two organizations collaborate.
A fashion show and a self-esteem forum will be held April 12 at 6 p.m. in Shopland Hall at the Scranton Cultural Center. Dresses will be modeled by area high school students. Donation drop-offs will be accepted at the Tripp House 1011 North Main Avenue Red prom dresses, Scranton or at Pierre’s One shoulder dresses, 406 Spruce Street chocolate prom dresses, Scranton.
