Lenovo has teamed up with Intel to launch a netbook referred to as Classmate+ aimed at children, mostly in developing nations.
The Classmate+ is far from a powerhouse, however it packs adequate strength to obtain most work carried out – an Intel Atom N455 CPU,
Windows 7 Professional, 1 or 2 GB of RAM and
Windows 7. It also sports a 10.1-inch anti-glare screen,
Office Home And Business, a 1.3 megapixel camera,
Office 2007 Enterprise, Wi-Fi,
Windows 7 Enterprise Product Key, two speakers and a choice between a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery.

The Classmate+ won’t be available in stores – it will be sold to agencies and educational institutions. The first batch of 158,000 will be deployed to students in Argentina this spring by the Organization of Ibero-American States.
