Lingerie Inspired by Audrey Hepburn

It seems the sober economic climate has influenced lingerie trends as well. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if you prefer classic, elegant design, offered in a variety of styles.
Here's what's happening. People tend to reflect during tumultuous times. The need to look back, to sentimentalize an era gone by, assuages current challenges. It makes us feel better.
For many people, the middle of the twentieth century is a romantic
corset lingeries, opportunistic time, a time, with the end of the Second World War, when the weight of the world was lifted. A time of rejoice, expression, and individual freedom. The result brought movie stars, politicians, and other cultural personalities considerable attention. Think of the beatniks, those literary hipsters with style to boot. Think Jackie Kennedy, the elegant first lady. Think Audrey Hepburn, the beauty of the silver screen, and her minimal
corset dresses, timeless fashion sense.
These individuals embodied the liberation and confidence that other people felt. Their attitude, taste, and style influenced generations. Today
luxury corset, they are still important in the world of fashion and culture. But even though they pioneered new ideas and ways of dress, they were still products of their time. When it came to clothes, certain restraints modified their choices.
Today
corset tops, these restraints are attractive. They evoke a simpler time, when fashion was subdued and focused on elegance and functionality. It is an ideal time to see them resurface, to celebrate the determinism that made them the totem of a generation.
In difficult times we reflect on good times. But we also gravitate towards fashion that reflects our mood. The styles of the middle twentieth century are back, and they are just as exciting now as they were back then.
Lingerie designers picked up this trend. They have scaled back some of their more extravagant designs, replacing them with pure, chic looks. They have developed a vision of elegance, which pays homage to the styles of the past.
Prima Donna's 2008 fall and winter line is one example. They based their design on Audrey Hepburn's minimal, classic style.
Hepburn once said, "The more there is, the less I want."
Incorporating this into their design, Prima Donna has produced an elegant line of lingerie. The pieces are timeless, provocative, and beautiful. They reflect our subdued mood, but also celebrate the beauty of the human spirit.
