More than 75% of city dwellers are either overpronators or underpronators. Essentially, it means that your feet lose their ability to accommodate ground unevenness and absorption of daily walking stress. Your foot has curved in one direction and cannot return to neutral state think of it as a jammed window that cannot close. In its functional state, our feet are made to pronate; curve to suit the contours of the ground. This is how we can run side ways on slopes and edges without tumbling over. Hence, feet with full range of pronation can walk, run, jog barefooted and not injure themselves (assuming you are not silly enough to go running on broken glass).Since the foot has lost its ability to fully pronate, shoemakers generally believe that a shoe has to be padded

And boy are they cool. I was unsure which colour to get to be honest. I normally buy darker golf shoes but with the new Adipures, which come in white/black and black/white, they both look so cool that it was hard for me to decide. In the end I went with white/black and am really happy with them.
If like me you normally use Footjoy or Ecco shoes and are considering trying a pair of Adidas for the first time then don't hesitate to try them, you won't be disappointed.
After watching Martin Kymer having an excellent season on the European Tour in 2010, and not only winning a major at the PGA but also making a huge contribution in the 2010 Ryder Cup

I have quite broad feet and it was recommend that I go for a size bigger! It sounds like a lot to jump up a whole size but to be honest it worked perfectly for me. I normally take a UK size 9 in golf shoes but opted to go up a to a UK size 10, and the size 10 fit me perfectly.
So, what is so good about them. Well, let me start by comparing them to my last pair of golf shoes which were made by Ecco. Let me tell you the Ecco shoes weren't cheap. Let me also say that the Ecco shoes were unbelievably comfortable and lasted me around 5 years! However, on putting on the Adipures for the first time it instantly felt like they were going to give me much more stability. By that I mean that you feel like you're much more planted and connected with the ground.
Our God given machine of motion still explodes power in this day and age!Yet, weekend runners who barely run a tenth of a marathon are spending hundreds of dollars to buy advanced technology for their feet! Why is the man on the street spending so much on high tech shoes when marathon runners and hunters happily thrive without them? The answer is advertising and product branding.Shoemakers astutely noticed that city folks are mostly overpronators or underpronators. Hence, in an effort to capitalise on this underlying dysfunction, they design shoes that support and cushion shock. Consequently, detaching and depriving the foot from its primary role as locomotion point guard.
Overpronation, Underpronation and Neutral Feet
So my next step was to try them out for real at the driving range. After only a few swings I had already made up my mind that they are indeed much more connected and planted to the ground than any other golf shoe I've used in the past.
Although I haven't had them out on the golf course yet, as it's winter here in the UK, I've made a couple of hundred swings with them at the range and they're quite simply the best golf shoes I've used to date.
