Corsets Possibly the Most Misunderstood and Ironic Piece of Lingerie
Back in the old days
club dresses, women were forced to wear corsets and they complained and whined and hated them. Then, other forms of lingerie came along and no one was going to have to wear a corset ever again. But, flash forward many years and there are women who are not only wearing corsets
######y clubwear, but reveling in and loving them. There are women who even make big time money wearing their corsets. (Think Dita von Teese)
The corsets of old had whale bone along the sides, nipping you into the slender, hourglass shape of the day, but let抯 face it they were:
a) not very comfortable
b) not all that politically or environmentally appropriate. Tons (literally) of whales were being slaughtered so that people could have obscenely small waist lines and so they could smell like the finest perfumes. Thankfully, you can still get a much modified hourglass look without resorting to murder to get it done- most corsets have plastic or metal "boning" these days and they are padded for additional comfort.
So, why would you ever willingly wear a corset? It is easy enough to tell once you get a look at one and even better
bandage dress, once you get that thing on and you see how you look- that will be it, you will be a corset kind of girl. And, whether you wear that corset under your business lady, quiet and sedate clothes or you wear yours as part of your going out attire
babydoll lingerie, you will be so happy.
Corsets were once only available in very few colors but were made for each lady individually. When they started being mass marketed, they were again available in limited colors and the sizes were limited too. Now, the new way of thinking in the lingerie world is that everyone should be able to wear ######y outfits, gorgeous lingerie and yes, the occasional corset if that is what she wants to do.
Just a gentle and general note about choosing the right size corset: there are very few women who can just run in and grab any item of clothing off of a shelf or a rack and have it fit perfectly. That being said, choosing a corset should be done carefully. If you are wider at the hips or thicker in the middle than you are up top, you should buy by that size. If you are busty, shop by that size and then adjust.
