Your company has transferred you to another city or you have taken a new job that requires you to move. Single or married, this requires a short term stay somewhere other than home. Maybe just long enough to find yourself an apartment, it's nice to get to know the area a little before signing a year's lease, but maybe several months will be involved if you are waiting for your family to join you.
Hotels or some type of corporate housing are probably going to be what you consider. There are advantages to both (did someone say room service?) but most likely not in the pocketbook area. A lot depends on who is going to be paying for it. If you are a family man and your family is staying in your home for the kids to finish out the school year and you have simply gotten a new job, price might be a big consideration. When it comes out of your own pocketbook, you think twice about spending it. If this is a company transfer, and the company is footing the bill, it's simply a matter of personal preference.
