The accolade is given all the more prominence because of the calibre of the judges who bestowed it upon him - among them Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey,?Matthew Williamson, British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman?and Harvey Nichols' buying director, Averyl Oates. Uber-trendy destination The Hospital Club holds the ceremony annually to commemorate the best of London talent. Among the other winners for 2008 were comedian Alan Carr, writer (and former Vogue Talent Contest winner)?Owen Sheers and film maker Steve McQueen. "We've been overwhelmed this year by the staggeringly high level of talent across all ten of the industry categories and our judges have really had their work cut out in coming to a unanimous decision," commented The Hospital Club's ceo, Will Turner.
