I’m kind of unhappy with the performance with my ubuntu VM in vmware for two reasons: it only uses one core of my cpu, and you can’t enable all the cool graphics dealies. So, I was trying to install a type 1 hypervisor and I decided to give Windows Server 2008 a shot. I tried both the free hyper-v install, and the full server 2008 installation. The free install doesn’t work for me because there’s no local gui, and you can’t change the keyboard layout to dvorak. The full server 2008 just plain won’t install. I’m getting a “windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation” error when I try to install server 2008,
genuine microsoft windows 7 x64 key, and that makes no sense because I have an 80gb hard drive to try to install it on. I’m kind of giving up on the idea for now, but it still makes me a bit sad that I can’t get it working Unable to install Server 2008 by Anil on Oct.16, 2009,
