The Balloon Boy drama that prompted a huge air rescue operation to save Falcon Heene, son of “Wife Swap” Richard and Mayumi Heene, was nothing but a hoax,best headphones, a major publicity stunt.
After the boy was found hiding in the attic at home, the Heene family was invited for a special appearance on ‘Larry King Live’ and that was when Falcon revealed he had been hiding because “we did this for the show” (watch video below).
In an interview with CNN, Falcon said he had heard his family calling his name.”Why didn’t you come out?” Richard Heene asked. Falcon answered: You had said that we did this for a show.”
When asked to clarify the comments later, Heene bristled. I’m kind of appalled after all the feelings that I went through, up and down,vibram five fingers sprint, that you guys are trying to suggest something else,” he said.
The father denied the drama was a publicity stunt. That’s horrible after the crap we just went through. No.”
Richard suddenly got all nervous after the boy revealed their secret. They should know better than trust a 6 year-old to play along and try to make everyone believe the family was truly scared that their kid was up there in that balloon. At the end of the day we are just glad the boy is alive but we do not understand how parents can use their children like that.
