Hockey:RWB roar back to beat Cubs
RWB picked up their fourth hockey trophy of the season on Saturday as they howled back to win,0 Guernsey’s Cubs 7-2 to retain the honours in this year’s ladies’ hockey Upton.
The Jersey side certainly didn’t have it whole,0 their direction as they were two goals down after merely 4 minutes! However, they soon pulled together and replied impressively to assure they made it a wash sweep of hockey trophies.

MacDowall and Darts both scored repeatedly to depart RWB in a snug rank at half-time.

‘We haven’t got a large,0 squad, we have 16 registered, and so there’s been great commitment and we’ve really come together as a team.’ Meanwhile Cubs’ coach Ali Le Tocq complimented RWB’s performance: ‘I calculate the best team won at the end of the day,’ she said.
‘We were missing several opener players, effectively from the aggression, but the team played really well and to go 2-0 up after only four minutes was great.
