The Colts offense put up 316 offensive yards in the loss and converted just 2 of 10 on third down. The team was productive in the run game with 114 yards rushing with a 4.8 yards per carry average in the game. With Peyton Manning nursing a neck injury it was Curtis Painter getting the start. Painter hit on 3 of 6 from the field for 55 yards. He then gave way to veteran Dan Orlovsky who completed 4 of 10 from the field for 111 yards with a touchdown and no picks. Newly acquired Nate Davis formerly of the San Francisco 49ers saw action and he hit on 3 of 7 from the field for 55 yards. Rookie Mike Hartline out of Kentucky came in and threw two passes and completed none. Running back starter Joseph Addai had just one carry for two yards and his backup Donald Brown contributed with 21 yards rushing on four carries. Undrafted free agent Darren Evans made a good impression for the Colts as the running back led the team with 52 yards on 8 carries including a run for 23 yards. Rookie fourth round pick Delone Carter out of Syracuse saw six carries for 29 yards with a 16 yard run.
