Sure, this movie influenced legions of women, but I saw it at least 30 years later than most, and Diane Keaton’s wardrobe was open to very different interpretation in the 90s than the 70s. Not the movie (which we actually found disappointing fashion-wise) but the TV show, especially the early years. Like Lauren said, “She wore some crazy shit,” and while I wasn’t running around Boston in a tutu, Carrie’s often wacky outfits inspired me to get creative when it came to clothes.
