Rumours about above-mentioned shows spread fast all over the online market place. The fans simply couldn’t wait to see their idols back again on stage again, especially now with their new vocalist Mark Tornillo (ex- TT Quick).
Due to the band’s highly tight schedule, there will only be one gig per country – except for ….Russia….. However, preparations for a big planet tour, that will follow the album release, have already started.
“We can’t wait to go out and play again,” said bassist Peter Baltes. “Just because [former ACCEPT singer] Udo Dirkschneider isn’t available to take part within the reunion doesn’t mean we’ll have to sit idle any longer. We feel Mark may be the perfect fit. Mark is an experienced veteran singer who is aware of the ACCEPT legacy and his voice fits the sound of ACCEPT perfectly.”
For guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, the decision to hire Mark was an easy one: “The decision to add him to our band was made immediately. It all happened in minutes. Peter [Baltes] and I were functioning on some songs in a studio in ….New Jersey….. Suddenly somebody suggested to give this guy a call and to invite him to join us – just for fun. The minute Mark began performing our songs we knew that we had found our new vocalist. This will be a new chapter while in the career of ACCEPT. Now or never… We are re-energized and excited.”
Mark Tornillo was the vocalist of TT Quick, a popular club band during the 1980s in the ..New York.. and ….New Jersey…. area.
In this new constellation, ACCEPT recently finished the recording of their brand name new album “Blood Of Nations” inside Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, UK. Acclaimed British producer and SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) was also involved within the recordings. The CD will include around 14 tracks and be released previous to the summertime via an as-yet-undetermined record label. Song titles set to appear on the CD include “The Abyss”, “Shades Of Death”, “Blood Of Nations”, “Pandemic” and “Teutonic Terror”.
In December the website Blabbermouth.com published unique behind–the–scenes footage of the recording sessions of Blood Of Nations.
