At Milan Fashion week there was an invite from Tod’s – A ‘Made in Italy’ marriage,
tod's scarpe uomo! A cocktail party celebrating the latest collaboration between the Italian luxury shoe company, and Milan’s theatre Teatro alla Scala.
The famous moccasins were stars in a new ballet,
tod's outlet! and have been adapted as ballet shoes. The original driving shoes (Gommini) each with 133 “pebbles” on the sole are produced in Tod’s factory here near us in Le Marche region, Central Italy. Each shoe requires 100 steps to make, 35 pieces of leather, and techniques that draw on ancient saddlery.
