It's easy to put an elegant border around your page--but then the printer lops it off.
Why?
Each printer has its own minimum margin setting, and if you put any text or borders outside that margin setting,
Microsoft Office Standard 2007, your page won't print correctly.
Word,
Office Standard 2010 Key, on the other hand,
Office 2007 Enterprise Key, will let you set your margins to 0.
How do you find out your printer's printable area--before you print?
You use WordPad. A colleague showed me how: 1. In Windows, click the Start button. 2. Click All Programs. 3. Click Accessories. 4. Click WordPad. 5. In WordPad, click the WordPad tab.
6. Click Page Setup.
7. In each margin box, type 0.
(After you change the last margin, click in a different box.) 8. WordPad displays the minimum margins that you need to apply to your Word document.
Now you can open your document in Word,
Genuine Office 2007, click the Page Layout Dialog Box Launcher, click the Margins tab,
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, and then type in those minimum margin settings. -- Joannie Stangeland <div
