Panties at the fair « Hynekart's Blog
I was telling someone about the ribbons my paintings received at the Nebraska state fair, and my lovely brother-in-law wanted to know how many of them were thongs. What? He claims he thought I said panties.Â* I said there were four granny panties and they all got honorable mentions.Â* Actually I had the black bull painting and a landscape thatÂ*got seconds, and the other four paintings got honorable mentions.Â* Today I found the results on the website.Â* There was a lot of really neat artwork there, gucci diaper bags I fell in love with a fish painting.Â* There were tons of art exhibits.Â* I think they are getting different people from western Nebraska showing now, since the fair moved to Grand Island.Â*Â*Â*I was able to see the longhorn show.Â* For some reason the cow calf pairs were stuck behind the Big Red Barn, while the steers were west of the cattle barn.Â* They had the steer show Saturday night.Â* They had three classes divided into age groups.Â* This is Bo, who was in the senior class.Â* I really liked his speckled coat and his cute horns.Â* I think he got second out of two in the class.Â* There were eight steers altogether. Five were in the young steer class, one in the middle class and then the two older steers.Â* The judge was from Texas and gave reasonsÂ* sale gucci bags why he placed who where. It was very interesting, and the most fascinating is that he doesn’t even take cuteness into account.Â* I guess he knows what he’s doing.Â* This morning they had the rest of the longhorn classes but I missed those. I was busy drinking coffee at this rambling mansion my friend lives in.Â* I could have gone, but how often do I get to drink coffee in a mansion?Â* They had the biggest steer that weighed in at 2610 lbs,Â*an angus that doesn’t miss his dinner.Â*Â* I don’t know what the biggest pig weighed in at, but he didn’t look close to being as big coach discount as last year’s.Â* There were a lot of draft horses, too.Â* I took a bunch of pictures of them, and although they had seven single-buggy entrants, no one seemed inclined to stop their horse in front of me with the nice blank white wall in the background. They were either ahead of me or too far down, where some tack supply place had a bunch of fans sitting out cluttering up the scene.Â* No one ever cooperates.Â* I can’t get the art judge to place me first! *sigh*Â* There’s always next year.Â*
