Though my career would be to be considered a central hub for all things “core tech” recruiting (advancement,
Office Professional 2010 Serial, check,
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus Key, and plan management) at Microsoft, one of my teammates,
Microsoft Office 2010 Standard Key, Julie Stringham, is the principal point of speak to for design and usability recruiting. Julie is headed down to Portland, Oregon next week for the annual Computer Human Interaction Conference (CHI). For those of you not in the know, CHI 2005 will be the premier international conference for human-computer interaction. Julie is organizing a Microsoft “hospitality event” on Wednesday, April 6 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Multnomah Room at the Doubletree hotel in Portland. I hear the party’s theme is “Eat. Drink. Get Lucky.” Hmmm … sounds interesting. It turns out that the “lucky” part refers to cool prizes you can win … but hey, that’s still fun. Julie says, “We are giving away a pocket PC and a portable media center on behalf of the mobile devices team, and software prizes will likely be awarded every 20 minutes!” So if you are in Portland for the conference next week,
Microsoft Office 2010 Standard, stop on by and say hi to Julie. Tell her Gretchen sent you. If you aren’t going to be there (but still interested in style and usability roles),
Office 2010 Pro X86, feel free to email Julie directly and introduce yourself. gretchen <Edit 4/2: I have also been told that attendees at the conference will have the opportunity to win a Tablet PC donated by the Mobile PC User Experience Team. Even more ways to get lucky. ;-) >
