Our planet is humming with energy. We can sense and feel the vibrations of the collective consciousness and all the massive changes underway. We are being inundated with so much information and stimuli that our systems are being overloaded. Our lives can become so busy that we barely have a minute to clear our heads and catch a breath. We have so many ways of keeping ourselves plugged in with the multitude of electronic devices and ways of communication that we can very easily detach from our own beingness. We need to make time to come into our own energetic space and honor our own needs, with the precious gift of silence, free from talking, listening or electronics. Lately, it's as if I sometimes crave silence. I need it as much as the air I breathe.
As a highly sensitive person we are easily overwhelmed by too much stimuli and activity, especially during this exceptionally intense period we are undergoing. In order to stay in balance it is necessary to make time to be quiet each day. We tend to enjoy leisure activities such as watching television, talking on the phone, spending time with family and friends, being on the Internet, listening to music, or text messaging. Equally there needs to be some time when we are not giving our energy to others and being keyed in. In the quiet moments of silence everything becomes clear.
Once we shut out the noise of our surroundings we are given an opportunity to quiet our thoughts, disconnect from the energy we pick up from others and release the tension and stress we are carrying in our energetic and physical body. We don't even realize what we are lugging around until we slow down and take notice. In the silent moments we allow ourselves, we can listen to our heart and honor our feelings. Often times we are carrying thoughts or emotions that we are not aware of (whether it be our own, or those we pick up from others) because we are just so preoccupied with other things. As we relax and come into harmony we can process our thoughts and feelings and find resolution. The answers we are searching for come from within. God speaks to us through our hearts, we receive the inner guidance when we are quietly going about our lives.
I honor myself with quiet time before going to sleep or just upon waking. I will do energy balancing on myself, offer my prayers, and meditation. (Praying is talking to God, while meditation is listening to God). I also enjoy taking walks with my dogs and allowing my thoughts to wander. I make time on the weekends to go to the beach and listen to the waves. I take walks in the woods and hear the birds chirping. I stay present in the moment as I am watering my plants and flowers, doing the dishes or laundry, cleaning the house, or running errands, just naturally connecting with the activity at hand.
The days of multi-tasking and spreading ourselves too thin are becoming very uncomfortable. Our brain and nervous system are being rewired where it is difficult to detach from who we are and what we are doing. We are being guided to stay in the divine flow and the moment. When we let go of the clutter in our brains and allow the breath to circulate within us, we release tension from our energetic field and come into harmony within ourselves. It's funny how the guidance comes so naturally and easily when we are not trying so hard!
After being around people and talking so much all day at work, I need time to disconnect from all of that energy that I pick up, and come into my own space. I take some time to relax and switch gears. I am very blessed to have many friends and family that I am close with and I will try to make a few phone calls or get together with someone for a little while. If I check in and find that I do not have enough energy to give, I will refrain from doing so, and stay in my own energetic space for the remainder of the day. I will make time where I don't answer the phone or see others. I make it a priority where I honor my own needs to do what feels right for me. I enjoy the solitude and silence of just being with myself.
When we have a quiet,
karen millen prom dresses, peaceful mind, and heart we hear what those around us are really saying, and also what they are not saying. We connect with others on an energetic level where we pick up and sense what is actually going on. As we become more and more connected with our own soul, we have the ability to sense what is for our highest good. We can connect with the energy of a person, place, situation or thing and tap into it to see if it is appropriate for us. We no longer have to put ourselves into a position that does not honor us, when we have this valuable tool at our disposal. We can easily sense when someone is or is not connecting with us energetically or authentically. When we are feeling very inward or not up for communicating, it is very easy to send love and blessings to those we care for energetically. I often receive quiet messages and feelings from those I have a strong connection with even if I have not seen or spoken to them in some time.
The sound of silence is the energy of God/Goddess coming through us by forming a strong love connection through our hearts; linking us with our higher self, our bond with one another, our planet and the collective. Honoring our needs through the practice of solitude and silence is a beneficial practice of honoring ourselves.
