Inuit are set to acknowledge the worldwide awards honouring the environmental function of ICC Chair Sheila Watt-Cloutier these days. In the course of a supper hosted by Nunavut Tunngavik Included in Iqaluit,
Microsoft Office 2010 Pro, Nunavut,
Office Professional Plus 2010, Inuit leaders will honour Sheila Watt-Cloutier. Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Paul Kaludjak and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Jose Kusugak will equally be present.
“Sheila Watt-Cloutier is a highly effective spokesperson for the Arctic environment. She does an excellent job in helping warn the world about the devastating effects of climate change and how this may impact future generations of Inuit,” said President Kaludjak.
On Tuesday April 19th, Sheila Watt-Cloutier was honoured by the United National Environment Programme (UNEP) as one of seven “Champions of the Earth”. She received the award at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
On Wednesday April 20th, Sheila Watt-Cloutier was awarded the Sophie environment prize in Oslo,
Microsoft Office Professional 2010, Norway. The $100,000 US prize was created in 1997 by Norwegian author Jostein Gaarder and his wife, Siri Dannevig. The prize is intended to foster work aimed at improving the environment and sustainable development.

Office Professional,” says Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Jose Kusugak. “Sheila has singlehandedly put the Arctic in the minds of world leaders.”
Both awards were for her operate to address the issue of global climate change, and to conclude a global convention to eliminate persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
