Braden Looper Lands as Brewers Starter
With spring training rapidly approximating (isn't THAT an awesome clause?), it looks like the Brewers are finally working apt address the depth problem in their starting rotation. Tom Haudricort is reporting at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that Braden Looper is going on a deal with the Brewers and pending a physical, a handle is "going to happen." Actually, Haudricort said it's,
MBT Chapa, "GOING TO HAPPEN," in entire caps like that,
ecco schuhe, so you understand he's serious.
All kidding alongside, this is probably going to be a pleasing deal for the Brewers. Looper's about decisive to be catching a paycut from the $5.5 million he made last year and he's been pretty durable in his 2 years as a starter,
abercrombie and fitch hoodies, tossing 175 and 199 innings nigh association mean. Since the Brewers were prepared to open camp with only 5 starters, they were primarily concerned with depth and Looper gives them that.
More than probable, this migrate lets Seth McClung begin the season in the bullpen, where he was beautiful good with the Brewers final year, instead of the rotation, where he's generally struggled in his vocation. The biggest care with Looper as a starter is his absence of strikeouts,
pink ghd, yet Milwaukee's barricade was pretty solid final year. That might change whether Mat Gamel sees serious period by third pedestal afterward year, yet assuming Looper's coming prefer cheaply,
ghd hair straighteners, he gives the Brewers another alternative and one discretion that's better Jeff Suppan alternatively McClung at namely. This isn't a ######y signing like John Smoltz or Randy Johnson would've been, but it's surely better than nobody as the Brewers.

VMy colleague Pat Lackey had some choice words for the WBC when Sizemore withdrew, claiming that not all the players take it seriously, which in turn affects the fans' interest level. And back in December, Matt Snyder took a stab at who would make up our ideal U.S. roster. Now it's time to take a turn at naming which players, like Sizemore, we're going to miss watching in this tournament.
