You've purchased a new prom dress for this year, but what to do with last year's dress?
At The Village of Rochester Hills this weekend, you can donate it to a less-fortunate prom-bound princess.
The Village Designer Prom Dresses, along with WDVD-FM Cocktail dresses, 96.3 cheap Bridesmaid dresses, will collect gently worn formal dresses Bridesmaid dresses, along with shoes and accessories cheap Formal dresses, starting Friday. Organizers have turned an empty store between The Gap and The Children's Place into a boutique of sorts, where donors may drop off dresses. Girls who need dresses will be able to shop for them later at the same site.
The drive is called Project Prom Princess cheap prom dresses 2011, and its mission is to fill the store with racks of dresses and accessories to make hundreds of girls feel like a true princess on prom night.
How it works:
* Drop off dresses and accessories during Village hours this weekend cheap Cocktail dresses, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday-Saturday and from noon-6 p.m. Sunday. On-air personalities from WDVD will broadcast live at the site during drop-off hours. Dresses should be less than 5 years old.
* Girls who need a prom dress may fill out a request form here for a chance to be selected to shop for a free prom dress. Those shoppers will also have an opportunity to win one of 50 free boutonniere and corsage sets, a prom makeover package for hair, nails and tanning or concert tickets.
