In the campy 'Rock of Ages,' Snider will join the Broadway cast starting on Oct. 11, stepping into the role of Dennis the nightclub owner for an eleven-week run, according to a New York Times blog.
The production's Tony-nominated star, Constantine Maroulis (of 'American Idol' fame) recently left the cast to tour, and the show is reportedly struggling to fill seats.
The musical -- which affectionately sends up head-banging '80s hits including Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take it' and 'I Wanna Rock' -- is rumored to be headed to the big screen in 2011 under the direction of 'So You Think You Can Dance' judge (and 'Hairspray' director) Adam Shankman. No word yet on whether Snider is on board for the film version.
