In the beginning of 1980’s the world saw every cricketing nation trying to develop a player whose abilities as an all-rounder would help them add an aggressive flavor to their playing style.

One for his ‘never say never’ attitude and the other for his sheer natural talent were an unbiased spectator’s delight.

It would be difficult for anyone to compare the two since both of them had significant impact not only on the Pakistani cricket team but on the cricketing fraternity on the whole.

We all still seem to be under a spell and can probably never thank enough for the inspirational leadership which led to our one and only world cup trophy in 1992 and that would never have been possible if it was not for Imran’s consistent performance with the bat and the ball.
