Remarks [7]
[Ed] had a netbook he no extended required and made the decision to produce it into a mini MAME cabinet for a few of his family members members. MAME cabinets are fairly abundant,
Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, but this one was so nicely accomplished, we desired to reveal it.
He eliminated the keep an eye on from an EeePC 901 as a way to get some precise measurements,
Windows 7 Ultimate, then went about crafting a mini cabinet from MDF. The whole thing was wrapped in sticky label paper adorned with old-school Galaga graphics, then coated in plexiglass for any good smooth glimpse that also protects the artwork.
He employed an iPac 2 controller board to wire up every one of the buttons and joystick for the netbook,
Microsoft Office 2007, opting to solder the controller’s wires directly towards the USB header on the eeePC’s motherboard. A power switch was added up on top for easy operation, and the cabinet was sealed shut, though the back does open easily in the event that maintenance is required. The system is managed using the Maximus Arcade front end for MAME,
Office Enterprise 2007, which [Ed] claims is incredibly easy.
