I couldn't allow Gretchen’s last post go by without having declaring some kind words: Most of you only know Gretchen through the world of the blog, but I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her personally. What all of you readers might not know about Gretchen is that she has a personal love for this blog, and that this experience has been far more than a job for her. What strikes everyone when they first meet her is that her humility, wit, and candor is genuine in all that she does, and that she embraces her job (and the world of blogging) with a true community spirit. I have had the great professional advantage of getting to participate in this forum with her and ride the credibility and poise that she has established in the public eye, and I am grateful for the opportunity.
