Oakley 3D Gascan Glasses Review
Many of the high fashion companies decided to hop onto the 3D bandwagon and design their own stylish 3D glasses. One of the many companies Police Sunglasses is Oakley who released their version called the 3D Gascan shades. Today, the writers from Gizmodo wanted to see how they compare to other 3D glasses and released their review. The first thing they mention is that the brightness and color quality looked better with these glasses. They decided to compare the Gascan shades against the typical 3D glasses that they provide at the theater. The Oakley glasses were also more comfortable Ray Ban Sunglasses and the lenses were big enough that the writers never saw the edge of the lens while viewing the movie. While these glasses did provide a visible benefit over the normal 3D glasses, the writers don't think it is enough to warrant the huge price hike. Their final comment was, "Maybe. But probably not. Look, they’re very nice. The optics are better than the movie theater glasses and they’re damn near indestructible. But 120, is a lot of coin to drop for a marginal performance improvement. How many 3D movies do you see a year? If your main concerns are comfort, experience and you’ve got a hell of a lot of disposable income, by all means, go for it. But if you’re hoping these will solve the problems of blurry pictures in a 3D movie, you’re going to be disappointed."
