Default Microsoft Office 2007 Pro Ryan Academy - Propeller

DCU Ryan Academy Dublin Town University's Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship is delighted to announce the establishment of an preliminary seed venture fund of €1 million for early stage technology startup companies. The new venture fund is in conjunction with a venture accelerator programme,Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, which will help fund new companies develop from concept to product. The aim of the venture fund is to jump-start a number of high technology start-ups in Ireland with an emphasis on software and biotechnology hardware ideas such as medical devices and diagnostics. The seed accelerator programme will be called Propeller and aims to fund and incubate up to twenty-four early stage technology companies over 24 months starting in January 2011. The online application process will go live in 22nd of November and will remain open until mid-January. A quick assessment will completed by late January and the Technology Advisory Board will make a final decision shortly afterwards. Mr. Declan Ryan will chair this Advisory Board. It is planned that an original ten to twelve companies will be funded with an incubation space made available and a mentor-led programme starting in early February. The Academy is negotiating on a number of locations for the physical space for the programme,Office Enterprise 2007, which will be free to the funded companies. One of the aims of the programme is to link the corporate sector in Ireland to the startup sector. A number of Ireland's leading companies have been approached about providing senior executives as mentors. Early stage venture accelerators must be adapted to the Metropolis region they are based in. One of Dublin's greatest magnets for startups is the fact that it is a location for leading technology giants such as IBM,Microsoft Office 2007 Pro, Intel, Google and Microsoft. One of our objectives is to create a unique eco-system where early stage companies,Microsoft Office Home And Student 2010, many of which have a business-to-business product model,Windows 7 Home Basic Key, will get access to and advice from these executives. The other half of the mentor equation will be serial entrepreneurs in the technology area. Another benefit of the programme will be a package of corporate and service support including marketing, accounting, legal and intellectual property advice. A number of companies have already signed-up to support the programme and details will be announced at the launch of the online application process.
