Assessment Summary
As far as layout and ergonomics go, the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e has the best keyboard and trackpad I’ve used on an 11.six incher,
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, and on top of that it’s matte all over including the display. Not to mention being really quiet. Doesn’t get any better than that. Efficiency,
Cheap Office 2007, on the other hand,
Windows 7 Enterprise Key, while good running at full functionality,
Office Standard, dips to netbook level speeds when running on battery mode. Battery existence ranges from three - 4 hrs on most occasions.
The X100e is clearly a large netbook (cheap) aimed at business users who aren’t particular fussy about long battery lifestyle or fast performance.
Note that this evaluation is done with the single core AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor (1.6GHz). There is a dual core Athlon Neo X2 L335 and Turion Neo XS2 L625 processors.
Where Can I buy it?
Amazon has the Athlon Neo MV-40 X100e in Black for $489.99
