Andy Pettitte Subpoenaed In Roger Clemens’ Perjury
Andy Pettitte is believed to be among those that have received subpoenas to testify in the upcoming Texas Rangers Clemens perjury trial according to reports.
The U.S. Justice Department issued subpoenas for the trail which is scheduled to begin July 6 at U.S. District Court in Washington D.C. Along with Pettitte, others that are believed to have received subpoenas are Clemens’ former personal trainer, Brian McNamee; convicted steroid dealer Kirk Radomski;(Mlb Jerseys ) former player David Segui; and McNamee’s former wife. Pettitte was a teammate of Clemens’ with the Yankees and Astros from 1999-2007. He has previously testified during a congressional hearing that he and Clemens discusessed the use of human growth hormones.
However, Clemens denies the testimony during the 2008 hearing.(San Francisco Giants) Clemens has been charged with three counts of making false statements, two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. Clemens, nicknamed "The Rocket", was 354-184 with a 3.12 ERA over the course of his career.
