Dell has announced a lower-cost edition of its well-liked Mini 10 netbook, which runs Ubuntu Linux. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10v sells for $300, supplying a one.6GHz Intel Atom N270, 10-inch screen, 120GB or 160GB tough push,
Office Home And Business Key, and a one.3 megapixel webcam, the organization says.

Unlike the equivalent Dell Inspiron Mini ten netbook announced in February, which starts at $350, or Dell's before Mini twelve design, the Mini 10v utilizes the one.6Ghz Atom N270 processor normally found on netbooks. With the Mini ten (pictured below, at correct) and Mini 12,
Office 2010 Professional Plus Product Key, Dell had instead turned to Intel's Z5xx Atom CPUs ("Silverthorne").
Because the Z5xx Atoms are more compact, use much less strength, and mate with the integrated chipset that saves even more energy, they run cooler and previous lengthier on batteries, says Dell. In addition,
Cheap Office Home And Business 2010, the N270 lacks the Z5xx-series' 720P High definition video clip capacity. As a result, the Mini 10v also lacks the Mini 10's integrated HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) port and optional, not-yet-shipping High definition tuner. Dell also ideas to add a 2GB RAM option for that Mini ten, although not the 10v.
Although the screen may be the identical size, the Mini 10v is just not an edge-to-edge display much like the Mini 10, and its resolution tops out at 1024 x 576 pixels as opposed to the Mini 10's optional 720P exhibit, which supports 1366 x 768 resolution. Otherwise the 2 netbooks are virtually identical.
The Mini 10v delivers 1GB of RAM, a 10/100 Ethernet port, a one.three megapixel webcam, a memory card reader, three USB ports, and audio I/O. The netbook is supplied with either Ubuntu Linux 8.04 or Windows XP Home, installed on 120GB or 160GB SATA hard disk drives.

Like the Mini 10, but not like the Mini 9, the Mini 10v lacks an ExpressCard slot for any 3G modem. Nevertheless, the device's 802.11a/g/n and optional Bluetooth 2.one capabilities are mentioned to become furnished through PCI Mini Card slots. Much like the Mini 10, the 10v capabilities a keyboard that's "92 % the size of the normal keyboard."
