Julia Colvin bio part. I usually don't put much because if I wanted to put everything so that you could really get to know me it would take far more space than I'm allotted and would probably bore you. Here we go though: My name is Julia Colvin, Julez to my friends (yes, with a Z - just because I CAN). I have been a College Staffing Consultant (a.k.a. recruiter) with Microsoft for about 9 months now and absolutely love it. Holla out to all my college candidates -you guys and gals help me get up early and keep Starbucks in business. Yes, I'm one of "those" people. I know, drinking Starbucks in Seattle, how cliché. I could've said Tully's but if you're not from this area,
discount microsoft windows 7 x64 key, you wouldn't know what that is; I know I didn’t. In fact, when I moved here, all I could think of was how much I missed Barnie's and Dunkin' Donuts (lets hear it for the East Coast). While we're on the subject of food, I also miss Publix subs, Chick-fil-A, Steak 'n Shake, and good Italian food. Oh the horror, I traded all of that for the best seafood around, some cool cutting edge restaurants (a shout out to my buddy, Chef Alex, at the new Purple soon to open in Downtown Seattle), and lets not forget B & O Espresso, my favorite dessert spot in the area. I know, it sounds like I've eaten my way through life. Not a bad way to go. :) a big change for me. I was a native Floridian until my move here. To give you an idea, I had never seen snow until a trip to Steven’s Pass last November (skiing – check, snowboarding – not so much) and forget about me and my rear wheel drive car trying to drive in the stuff. Can we say “Holy spin out Batman!” Not only did I leave hurricanes behind in Florida, but I also left my family and my closest friends. It was a big change, but you’d be amazed how much distance brings people closer and how much making a big move like that opens up a whole new world. I’m thankful to have family and friends that encouraged and supported my decision,

I also did my undergraduate degree in Political Science at UCF and landed a job with the office of U.S. Senator Bill Nelson right after finishing my degree. I started looking for a job at Microsoft after realizing that in some way or another, Microsoft products were involved in everything else that I was working on (not to mention the fact that I had at least a dozen good friends from high school and college that had been here for anywhere from 5 months to 6 years and absolutely loved it). Who wouldn’t want to be part of company that lets you see firsthand “what’s next.” I personally feel like I made the best decision thus far in my life by joining Microsoft. What I’ve learned so far, the people I’ve met, and the awesome things I’ve had the chance to see (no further comment as the NDA comes into play here) have really made me want to be a part of what’s next to come. In fact,
