Milan Fashion Week schedule turned into 'size zero'
Hilary Alexander is becoming increasingly frustrated with trying to negotiate the fashion week's ever-shrinking schedule.

The truncation of the Milan Fashion Week schedule,Welcome To My Herve Leger Store_1191, which has effectively turned the normal seven-to-eight day calendar,bose headphones, into a four-day nightmare,babolat tennis rackets, is causing grief and stress all over the city.

The big squeeze - a catwalk equivalent of trying to force a size 16 model into a size 6 - has frayed tempers as shows, which normally run at least half an hour late anyway, telescope into one another.
The problem has been exacerbated by the incidence of designers running two shows one after another.
As an example of the hideous complexity, today's schedule featured a Giorgio Armani show at 2.15pm, on one side of the city, and the Moschino show, scheduled to start 45 minutes later, on the opposite side of town - a good twenty minutes to half an hour's drive away.
The revised scheduling has been blamed on American Vogue's Anna Wintour. According to a report in The Daily Telegraph on February 10th, Mario Boselli, the president of the Italian Fashion Chamber,Marcia Cross in Citizens of Humanity_1083, said: "She wants designers to schedule their shows during these three days. It has bad consequences for many,tods and shoes, many people involved in the shows, from stylists to models to hairdressers. It's absolutely crazy. She's welcome in Milan but if she only comes for a fleeting visit, perhaps it would be better is she stayed at home."

Milan's restaurants can hardly be benefiting, since most people I've spoken to have not been out for dinner since they arrived.
This has given rise to the "Canape Syndrome" - a quick casing of each catwalk venue to see if there are any snacks on offer!
