They made mine to order I understand so I am happy. I compared them carefully flyaway apron babydoll back , and yes, the Alden is beautiful, and a bit different, but the shell was of similar beauty and the workmanship was great. I have 2 pairs of Allen Edmunds Randolphs of cordovan now, and one MacNiel. I did not like the lower front on the Alden loafers I tried plus size sundresses , and was not looking for a pure penny. If I get a pure penny, I will get the unlined Aldens. But I must say, these 2 models are beautiful and I have not problem advocating the excellent price point especially when you can occasionally get a discount at Shermans. BTW corsets bustiers , Shermans is a really decent place. I think for me much of it is not about one versus the other. My darned feet fit better in A and E's I think.
